Privacy policy
This site does not ask you for data because it has nowhere to keep it. What follows is the complete list of what happens anyway.
What we do NOT collect
There are no accounts, no sign-up, no forms and no field to type into. We do not ask for or store your name, email, phone number, address or payment details. We cannot: the site is static files and there is no database to put any of that in.
Nor do you need to identify yourself to use anything. The signed files are open and download without credentials.
Server logs
Like any site on the internet, the server delivering these pages records the requests it receives. That log includes the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser identifier (user-agent).
It is used to operate the service and detect abuse —nothing else—, it is not combined with any other source and it is not used to profile anyone.
What stays in your browser
The site uses no cookies. It stores four things, all in your browser's local storage, and all of them are display preferences you chose:

None of those values ever leaves your device: they are not sent to the server or to anyone, they travel in no request, and they cannot identify you. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.
The initial time zone and language are asked of your own browser, which is what any site does to show you the right time. That reading is used to paint the screen and is neither stored nor transmitted.
Advertising and tracking
The site shows no advertising and carries no analytics. There are no tracking pixels, no measurement tags and no third-party scripts to learn what you do here. You can check it by reading this page's source.
Should that ever change, this policy changes first and says so here.
Third parties the page calls
When verifying an emission, the page downloads data directly from the public drand network and from the repositories where the files are anchored. That happens from your browser and against their servers, not ours: it is what makes verification independent of us.
In those requests your browser reveals to them the usual —IP address and user-agent— exactly as if you opened their sites yourself.
Your rights
The rights of access, rectification and erasure apply to personal data, and we hold none of yours: there is nowhere to keep it. The only thing that exists is in your own browser, and you erase it yourself by clearing the site's data.
What cannot be erased
Published emissions contain nobody's personal data: they are numbers, a seed and a signature. They are never removed or modified, neither on request nor by mistake: the record is immutable by design, and that is where all of its value lies.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version replaces this one at this same address.
